"California Landscape" I attended the KVIE 2009 Art Auction Preview Party recently where Rhonda and I had a chance to browse and appreciate over 200 pieces of art. The KVIE Art Auction is juried by local and experienced artists Eric Dahlin and D. Neath. The renowned pieces and winners were auctioned individually starting on Friday, August 28 and continued Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30 from 2pm - midnight on KVIE channel 6. My painting entitled California Foothills (above), was one of five chosen from the Procissi Wine Gallery in Folsom and donated towards this worthy cause. It sold for a little over the value I had placed on the piece and both myself and Carol Quinn from Procissi were awarded honorable mentions, which felt pretty good. All in all, our little wine gallery did itself proud ... all donated works were sold to enthusiastic buyers for a win-win situation.
